The Club will be holding a driver training day at Lakeside Park Raceway on Wednesday 25th September.

The morning will be spent on the Driver Training Centre track with it rises and falls and left and right hand curves much like driving on narrow country roads. WE will test drivers ability around tight corners, awareness of sudden emergency stops and avoiding slides on wet roads (on the skid pan).

There will be a bbq lunch at the Pit Stop cafe at the main track where we will conduct training on the main circuit which will entail somewhat faster driving around the tight bends and curves of the circuit.

There will be instructors available in your car or their cars to show you the correct lines of the track at speeds of no more than 75% of race speeds (similar to happy laps). There will be no timing on the circuit.

Cost for the day will be $130 per entrant plus a licence fee of $10 for those who do not already hold a Racers Licence. That cost is dependent on 40 members attending.

Bring a morning and afternoon tea - BBQ lunch will be provided.

Please register for the event in the same way as club social runs. Final details and regulations will be sent prior to the event.
